Join a small group for a guided adventure around the Big Island of Hawaii stopping at Waterfalls, Beaches, Hiking Parks, Forests, Cookie Factory, Lava Flows, Macadamia Nut tasting, Honey Farm, Coffee Farms, and Stargazing.   This tour has it all!  Includes highest-rated local guides will share with you the island's famous (and not-so-famous) sights, lead you on nature hikes, check out local wildlife and explain the island's rich history and culture.  This door-to-door tour includes both lunch and dinner, and is designed to be the most comprehensive tour of this island possible in a single day.  Designed for people who don't just want to ride in a bus all day, this tour breaks up the big distances of the Island into a combination of hikes, sightseeing, nature walks and fun commentary.   Hawaii Adventures Now's experienced guides know the competition and have designed this tour to be the most of everything!

You can expect to be picked up in a comfortable high-ceiling Mercedes Benz Sprinter van with a small group, and led on an epic adventure around the island.   Tailored to the group's pick-ups, this tour follows a circular route with stops at Akaka Falls, Macadamia Nut Farm, Coffee Farm (with tasting), Honey Farm, Big Island Candies Cookie Factory, Volcanoes Nat'l Park (if open), Black Sand Beach, Looking for Sea Turtles, Hiking in old volcanic park, Lava Tubes, Southernmost Town in the USA, and much more.   Be prepared to stop a lot, taking small hikes on the lava or forest looking for local plants, animals and birds.   Lunch is provided to be eaten outside along the way, and dinner is at a local favorite diner with a HUGE selection of popular local  foods sure to satisfy every taste.  At the end of the day, you will be taken up to a height of 2000 meters to spend some time looking at the stars with telescopes and binoculars.   Everything you need is included!   Hiking sticks, coats, rain-gear if needed, water, and binoculars!  If you can find another tour that does this much in a single day (you can't), then take it!

Hike number 2 is another 2-hour round trip along the ridge and then across the crater floor of Kilauea Iki.  The hike along the ridge takes you through Hawaiian native Ohia forest where your guide will show you the varied plants and wildlife of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  On the crater floor, you'll hike across the awesomely picturesque crater floor amid awesome lava formations.  After a brief hike through a lava tube, you'll head for the summit of Kilauea itself, at 1240m high, where after a quick hike you will peer at the massive Halema'uma'u crater from the highest vantage point.   A local-style dinner rounds out this tour before the drive back to your hotel.  Please note that recent closures of some areas of the park may result in alternate hikes.

Get ready for this epic adventure through Volcano National Park.

Where you can see places unlike anywhere else in Hawaii (maybe even the planet?) With views that stare across carved and collapsed mountains of stone intertwined with colorful jungle. Landscapes that stretch between old Hawaiian foot paths and fresh lava flows and a color so blue it’s as is you could reach out and touch the coastline. And to think, your walking on top of one of the worlds most active volcanoes.

From towering old growth rain forest to bellowing steam vents escaping the broken ground. Wide open walkways into mind blowing lava tubes. Large Ohia tree roots that break through the rocky surfaces to collect water from the cool moisture in the air. Take notice and look and listen for some of the last endangered native Hawaiian birds. A true experience of old and new earth where once were the first working of Hawaiian petroglyphs and natural stone sea arches that touch the warm pacific waters.

Stunning views and unforgettable hikes can barely describe the beauty and diversity of this amazing trip. From scientist to six years olds, theres always something new to see and learn.

Discover the natural beauty hidden just off Hawaii’s famed Hana Highway on a waterfalls and rainforest hike in east Maui. This 6- to 7-hour excursion takes you deep into one of Hawaii’s most popular valleys, where several waterfalls tumble within a short distance of one another. On this relaxed hike, take a dip into the pools located beneath the falls, clamor up columnar basalt rock formations to jump safely into the water, and enjoy a healthy lunch. Round-trip transport from your Maui hotel included.

Outfitted in a swimsuit, begin the journey from your hotel—if you’ve opted for round-trip transport—or meet your guide in the town of Kahului, where the Hana Highway begins. You’ll be driven to the entrance of the hiking area, which was selected for its heavy concentration of waterfalls. Your guide will lead you along streams to three or more of these breathtaking cascades, some more than 40-feet (12-meters) high. While many tourists flock to Hana Highway area for its scenic beauty, your local guide knows the best vantage points for appreciating the falls on your 2.5-mile (4-kilometer) hike.

The waterfalls are breathtaking from land, but they’re even better up close. Wade into any of the pools under the falls—depending on the season, some are calm enough to pass beneath. With advice from the guide, adventurous types can climb up to the nearby columnar basalt ledges and jump 10- to 15- feet (3- to 4.5-meters) into the water below. After exploring the waterfalls by both land and water, enjoy a healthy lunch of your selection of sandwiches, chips, fresh island fruit, cookies and water. Dry off from your time in the water before finishing your hike. A van will transport you back along the Hana Highway to your hotel.
