Double the adventure on this full day 9-hour Kohala Zip and Dip tour. After being picked up by your guide in the early morning, you'll spend an inspiring and exhilarating full day in North Kohala, a land of stunning beauty and profound cultural significance. Zipline high above the forest floor, picnic on the rim of Pololu Valley & swim under a private waterfall fed by a cool mountain stream.

Your Kohala Zip & Dip tour begins with an early morning pickup at your Kona or Waikoloa hotel for the drive up the glorious Kona coastline. Pass through the charming plantation towns of Hawi and Kapaau, in the Halawa Lands of King Kamehameha, and keep an eye out for large marine life offshore, including spinner dolphins and humpback whales (in the winter). After a safety briefing from your guide, gear up and climb aboard your 6x6 Pinzgauer open air off-roading military vehicle and enjoy the Kohala views on the way to the top of the course.
From the moment you begin your aerial adventure at the Kohala zipline park in Kapaau, you will be enthralled by the unspoiled beauty of Kohala, the northernmost region of the Big Island. Perched among lofty trees, this exciting canopy park features soaring tree platforms, five elevated suspension bridges and nine thrilling ziplines. Exclusive features, such as the twin WhisperLines€™, ensure you'll hear the sounds of the forest, and not the sound of metal on metals from the ziplines. Safety is the top priority and courses are inspected twice daily, and you have the ability to choose the speed and orientation of your zipline. A total course length of 4,580 feet (1,395 meters) and height of 140 feet (42 meters) ensure that this adrenaline-rushing experience will be the highlight of your Hawaii vacation.
After your aerial trekking, your naturalist guide will continue your adventure to explore a private mountain stream with waterfalls, ancient Hawaiian agricultural sites, and a private waterfall swim awaits. Your destination is the Kohala Ditch Trail, built in the early 1900s to irrigate the surrounding former sugar plantation. Hike approximately 1.0 mile (1.6 km), passing blasted-out tunnels, ditches and an old aqueduct while your guide shares the history of the plantation and the construction of its impressive irrigation system. Throughout the moderately challenging hike, see multiple Kohala waterfalls that dot the lush and diverse landscape. Stop at the last fall for a chance to jump into the refreshing pool and cool off under the cascade. Take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch at a breathtaking private picnic area overlooking lush green valleys and 1,000 ft. sea cliffs plunging into the ocean. This is the adventure you'll take home and talk about for years to come. At the end of the hike, relax on the ride back to your hotel, where your 9-hour tour concludes at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon.

Yet Waikiki Beach is just the beginning of Oahu's countless treasures. The scenery of this unique island has appeared in scores of Hollywood films and television series, such as Pearl Harbor, Jurassic Park, The Lost World, George of the Jungle, Pirates of the Caribbean III, Lost and more In fact, Blue Hawaiian flew aerial photography for all of these blockbuster productions, and for many more film and television projects across the Hawaiian Islands.
So get ready, because a succession of stunning sights, like a string of glittering pearls, awaits you: Honolulu Harbor, graced by picturesque Aloha Tower; heart-tugging Punchbowl, the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific; and the splendid crescent of Hanauma Bay. Gliding eastward, it's like you've gone to another world- a world that truly can be appreciated only from the panoramic cockpit of an Eco-Star helicopter: you'll be amazed by the spectacular coastline, the Makapuu Point and lighthouse, Mount Olomana, legendary "Chinaman's Hat" (proper name, Mokoli'i), and the soaring Nuuani Pali- where Blue Hawaiian helped capture some of the most powerful images in the film Pearl Harbor-and the lust and dense Nuuanu Valley Rainforest. Then it's up the breathtaking coastline to Sacred Falls and the expansive Dole Pineapple Plantations.
Finally, no tour of Oahu would be complete without the inspirational nostalgia of Pearl Harbor. Here is the emotions epicenter of American pride in our nation's endurance and ultimate victory in World war II, with its haunting Arizona Memorial-symbol of the beginning of the way- and the mighty U.S.S. Missouri, where the surrender was signed. Every year, millions of people make a timeless pilgrimage of gratitude and homage to this hallowed place, yet now you can see it all with the perspective you can only get from the air. Unforgettable!

Exploring the Big Island’s Kona Coast on Captain Zodiac’s 24-foot “RIBs” is the experience of a lifetime! For 38 years, Captain Zodiac has introduced visitors to an array of natrure’s secret wonders that can only be experienced in a Zodiac Raft. The small group atmosphere of our expedition allows for a personal and intimate tour. Your captains/naturalists will tell stories of Hawaiian history and culture, island geology, and many marine species that you will encounter - and, for purposes of this trip, that will mainly be spinner dolphins.  If the conditions are right you'll get to meet them up close and personal, in the water!

Imagine your first sighting of a pod of Hawaiian spinner dolphins.  They swim effortlessly along in large groups called "pods."  Our Zodiac approaches cautiously and then, suddenly, there they are, amazingly close, right next to the raft.  Your Captain, careful not to disturb them, follows along as they circle their resting area.  You suit up in to mask and fins and then gently slip over the side.  Having been briefed on proper protocol, you gently float in the vicinity of the dolphin pod, hoping they will approach.  Then - it happens!  The pod moves closer and you see them gliding along beneath you.  You see a keiki (young baby) dolphin keeping close to its mother.  You hear the "clicks" of their sonar and it seems like they are looking right at you!  The Wild Dolphin Encounter is a unique experience.  Hawaii's spinner dolphins are a close knit family unit.  Pods of dolphins frequent the Kona coast waters taking time to rest during the day before their nocturnal feeding schedule.
